About Our Pastor

Desiree Carter has been called by Insight Publishing one of America’s Premier Christian Speakers. She uses her God given talents to preach and teach people how to overcome obstacles in order for them to reach their full potential. She is a fearless leader, straight out of the box, who believes in living a life of Holy boldness, all the while loving God and others.

Desiree is a motivational speaker, author and preacher who teaches, empowers and equips people to enter into a healthy relationship with Christ, self and others. Her 18 years in ministry has challenged and guided her to be both leader and follower. Pastor Carter is a leader who believes in serving a God and dreaming God’s BIG dreams. She is often initiating new ministries, challenging people with new innovative concepts for living life to the fullest. She is a relationship builder who loves to interact with people both inside and outside the church. Pastor Carter has had the pleasure of writing with noted theologians as Dr. Robert Schuller. They shared the spotlight with a book entitled: Speaking of Faith. She has written with noted actress Ann Jillian and others in a book entitled: Remarkable Women of Faith. Desiree has also shared the spotlight with noted writers as Les Brown and Deepak Chopra as they discussed the topic of success, in the book entitled, “Success is a State of Mind”.

Pastor Carter ‘s children lovingly call her a professional student. She has been in school their whole lives. Desiree has a Masters degree in Divinity from Methodist Theological Seminary in Ohio, a Masters degree in drug and alcohol counseling from the same school. She has two Bachelor’s degrees, one in Sociology and one in Vocational Rehabilitation from Wilberforce University in Xenia, Ohio.

Desiree is currently a doctoral student, preparing to obtain her Phd. from United Theological Seminary located in Dayton, Ohio. She believes that one should never stop learning and if we listen life always has something to teach. Pastor Carter says living life and learning from it is like playing an instrument…it takes work, assertive positioning, faith, focus and the ability to believe in yourself and your potential.

Pastor Desiree is a constant advocate for change and awareness of what it means and looks like to live life to it’s fullest potential. She believes it is only through the power of Christ that one can understand and dance through the rhythm of conditional love for self.

When Pastor Desiree is not in the pulpit preaching and teaching or in a classroom teaching, she is hosting women’s conferences and seminars and a program written by her entitled “The Gift”

The Gift is an organized approach for people to improve their self-awareness, to discover who they are. This program challenges the participant to capture, develop and produce the very essence of who they were created to be. If you have always been defined by someone else, if you’re not sure what you’re worth, Pastor Desiree says, come and let her assist you. When not preaching She can often be found teaching for the Osher Life Learning Institute in Cincinnati, Ohio. or teaching and challenging others to learn more about their faith at The School of Christian Mission in Ada, Ohio.

Whether preaching or teaching Desiree offer dynamic challenges that have her audiences seeking and discovering the answers to these questions:

Do I go through life plucking a string of sour notes , creating a disharmony in the melody of my spiritual, financial and physical self?

Am I Living my life to it’s fullest potential?

Do I live in the rhythm of unconditional love for self?

Do I live in the rhythmic flow of spiritual, financial and physical success?

Am I in tune with who God has made me?

Pastor Desiree has assisted in the raising of 13 children and is the proud mother of three children and proud grand mother of 6 grandchildren.

She is a spiritual dynamo who believes in the power of prayer, the love of God and self. Desiree says self discovery is an important key to successful living. People sometimes make bad choices in life, because they have decided or someone told them they have no choice, no voice and no story to tell. She says, we all have a story to tell, a voice, and choices…You just must discover yours.

Desiree is the third child born to her parents, although she is the oldest sibling in the family. She challenges her audience to figure this one out. Pastor Desiree is a fun loving joker who enjoys God, her family and people.
