Youth PreparingFor Toronto Mission In June
Your Maple Street Youth will be heading out for Toronto on Monday, June 23, 2003. They will return on Saturday, June 28, 2003. This will be the third annual mission trip for the Maple Street U.M.Y.F. The youth will spend their time helping with the ministry of Kingsview Free Methodist Church.
Communication has been established with Associate Pastor Walter McIntyre at Kingsview. The youth will be spending their nights in the dormitories at Tyndale Seminary College. Pastor McIntyre states that the youth will be assisting their ministry outreach to the Somali refugees who live in the area. The Maple Street youth will be playing basketball with the Somali children, as well as help them with their English skills. The youth are also prepared to meet any other challenge the pastor may throw their way.
This trip is open only to those youth who are active in the youth program. Active participation in the youth program consists of regularly attending youth meetings and outings. The deadline to sign up for this trip is Sunday, March 1, 2003.
The youth will be busy planning for the trip, and fund-raising throughout the next couple of months. They are very excited at the prospect of being able to travel to Toronto for such a worthy cause. Any further word on the trip will be disclosed as the youth gathers such information.
— Shawn Hinkle, Youth Coordinator
Maple Street will hold its second Fish Fry of 2003 on March 8, from 4 to 7 p.m. Again, it’s all you can eat, with everything included. Adults $7; Children (under 12) $3.
Chairing this event is Duane “Buzz” Bussart, with help from the fine team of volunteers who have made this fish fry a time of wonderful food and tremendous fellowship. We have chicken breast strips for those who don’t like fish.

Who is She? Well, no one called Butch Strawn, when his pictures were printed. Guess the curls fooled them. This pretty little girl is highly visible at Maple Street Church. You can easily see why she was her Daddy’s delight. Loves Dogs and loves doing things for others. If you recognize her, say: “Hey, I know You!”
