Local Social Concerns is a ministry which feeds the community every Wednesday from 12:00 to 1:00p.m.
Matthew 25 Project
Under the umbrella of Local Social Concerns is the Matthew 25 project. This project provides coats for people in need. If you have a coat that you have out grown or you simply no longer want it, send it to us. We will put the coat to good use.
Our other Adult ministries are in the incubation stage. Check back with us and see what you could be a part of.
The Double Nickel Club
If you’re 55 years of age or older this group is for you. This group travels together, eats together and plays together. This ministry provides social outlets and strengthens the support system of the seniors in the community.
The Senior ministry is still under production. However, I have from good authority that the first event will be a mystery lunch and a well known speaker. Have you ever ordered from a menu where the langauge was completely different? How do you know what you’re ordering? Watch out! These seniors sound as if they are wilder than the youth.
The men meet every Thursday from 7:30-8:30 pm. This group calls men to servanthood, to prepare themselves as men of God to better take care of themselves, and their families.
The purpose of our women’s ministry is to educate, equip, empower, and encourage women for daily living from a woman’s point of view. This ministry is a new one, still in transition and the programs being created will provide opportunities for women to connect with one another and the Creator who sustains them during times of abundance and times of adersity.
THE GIFT
It is all about You. This empowering study is not for the faint at heart. This study takes you on a journey of exploration from childhood events and past relationships. This is a progressive study that provides an indepth look at the impact the past has had on your present and your future. This study asks the question "Will the real you please stand up?"
THE 8 WEEK SELF ESTEEM STUDY
This class will help take the bite out of loving one’s self. Many women spend their lives loving others, taking care of others, leaving themselves for last. This study helps women not only create a personal development plan for their lives, but will inspire women to answer the question: "Who Am I?"
THE CHOCOLATE BOUTIQUE
Imagine gathering with friends. Dipping plain fruit chunks into chocolate fondue. Indulging in these newly transformed treats. Then discussing the way God transforms our lives with his amazing grace and being challenged to actually practice grace with those friends before heading home to “try grace” out on others.
Simply Relevant Relational Bible Series for Women
This 6 week ministry provides fun sessions that guide women in their discovery of God’s rich Grace.
Remarkable Women of Faith
This is a 8 week inspiring look at the lives of women of faith. Remarkable Women of Faith reveals intimate stories of women who model living faith. These women tell their stories and present testimonies of changed lives. They reveal the remarkable strengths that God cultivates in women who love Him. Pastor Desiree is one of the featured authors who provide encouragement and inspiration. What is your faith story? The Remarkable Women of Faith study is ongoing.
